            Creating the Outline (for Literary Analysis essays)

            Step #1:  Find quotes from the literature that will support the   
                               subtopics in your thesis statement (i.e. Where can I find
                               instances of miscommunication in "Romeo and Juliet"?

            Step #2:  Begin to fill in the appropriate information into the outline
                               format.  Be sure to write down the page number where the
                               quote/citation was found in the text.

            Step #3:  Use this outline to help format the essay that will be written
                               on the topic.  This outline is a tremendous help when it come 
                               to writing the essay.
